3r Cartoixa Vermell Cellar 9

A unique skin-contact wine crafted from Cartoixà Vermell, a special clone of Xarel•lo with reddish-skinned berries. This organic wine undergoes a 32-day maceration at low temperatures, followed by gentle pressing and 9 months of lees aging in stainless steel tanks. The result is a complex and textured orange wine that showcases the distinctive character of its Mediterranean terroir. Celler 9+, located near Tarragona in Catalonia, is run by Moisès Virgili, a farmer dedicated to sustainable and organic winemaking practices. The winery, founded in 2010, focuses on indigenous grape varieties and produces about 75,000 bottles annually, all made with spontaneous fermentation and without added sulfur. Celler 9+'s philosophy emphasises environmental responsibility and a return to traditional farming methods, reflecting the rich agricultural heritage of the region.
